Craig Bida

 

Craig Bida brings more than 20 years of experience spanning the private, public and nonprofit sectors – successfully partnering with companies, government agencies and nonprofits to drive business growth, while addressing pressing societal needs. As an executive vice president and head of Cone’s Cause Branding and Nonprofit Marketing disciplines, Craig is responsible for setting the vision for the future of the two disciplines, as well as acting as a strategic advisor for key clients.
 
Most recently, Craig worked for 11 years in Marketing at the purpose-driven Procter & Gamble, where he led marketing and business strategy on some of the world's leading brands including Duracell, Braun and PUR. On Duracell, Craig led multiple Cause Branding initiatives that included the Duracell Power-A-Smile program – a partnership with Mattel and the Mattel Children’s Hospital – and Duracell Power Relief – a program that provides critical power to families affected by natural disasters. He also was a key member of Duracell's Sustainability Committee.
 
While at Procter & Gamble, Craig also led innovation and new product development, identifying new business models and strategies and launching new products and line extensions across multiple product categories. Craig led in-store marketing strategy across a range of retailers and the entire portfolio of Procter & Gamble brands, including Tide, Downy, Crest, Pantene, Iams and Pampers. Craig also has deep experience in partnerships, alliances and licensing and has worked with companies including Whirlpool, Microsoft, Nintendo, LeapFrog and Mattel to deliver marketing and new product innovation.
 
Craig has extensive media and content development experience, and has worked as an editor and writer for Eating Well magazine, CityBeat, Rx.com, Vermont Life and American Book Publishing.  

Craig has more than 5 years of experience in the public sector at the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development. There, Craig partnered with non-profits, private developers and government agencies to revitalize neighborhoods via housing and economic redevelopment initiatives.
 
Involved as a volunteer for non-profit organizations for over 25 years, Craig served as the Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees and Chair of the Development Committee of the Literacy Network of Greater Cincinnati. Other contributions have included serving as a Big Brother, a Business Volunteer for the Arts, a volunteer Teacher’s Aide, a Neighborhood Garden volunteer growing vegetables for local food pantries, and a volunteer fireman with the Charlotte Vermont Volunteer Fire Department.
 
Craig received a B.A. in English and an M.B.A from Yale University. He has an M.A. in French from the University of Vermont, where he served as a Graduate Teaching Fellow.
