Overview
Cone, Inc. partnered with T-Mobile USA to develop T-Mobile Huddle Up, a company-wide, national community outreach program connecting kids, primarily from single-parent families in high-need, urban communities, to positive people, places and programs. T-Mobile Huddle Up focuses on the critical need for safe, quality afterschool programs. To make a real impact on the afterschool issue, T-Mobile established long-term partnerships with two leading, national nonprofit organizations – City Year and the Afterschool Alliance.

- T-Mobile employees donated more than 27,600 hours to improve afterschool spaces
- T-Mobile Huddle Up events garnered more than 6.2 million media in 2007
- The labor and materials T-Mobile donated to service partners in 2007 saved them more than $1.6 million
- T-Mobile provided 12,000 youth in Las Vegas and New Orleans a once-in-a-lifetime experience at the T-Mobile Rookie Challenge & Youth Jam during NBA All Star weekend
- T-Mobile’s relationship with City Year provided corps members across the country with best-in-class afterschool curriculum and T-Mobile handsets for use during their year of service
- Through its partnership with the Afterschool Alliance, T-Mobile sponsored the Seattle Lights On Afterschool event and gave two students the opportunity to attend the Afterschool Challenge on Capitol Hill, both in support of afterschool programming
- The T-Mobile Huddle Up Scholarship Program was launched in 2007, providing 10 Washington state high school seniors with scholarships of $5,000 per year for up to four years to attend the college of their choice
