Our Diversity Mission Statement is as follows:
“Cone Communications believes diversity comes in many forms and that our values are strengthened by each staff member’s unique experience, perspective and contribution. We are committed to maintaining a workplace in which each employee feels connected to the team, yet empowered to thrive as an individual.”
Our mission statement reflects Cone’s interest in fostering a diverse work environment and opening our recruitment channels to capture candidates of all types of backgrounds; ethnic diversity is a key goal as well as an employee population reflective of our society in general. We consider ourselves to be not only inclusive but supportive of all the backgrounds and experiences that make our staff so unique.
To bolster our commitment to diversity, Cone Communications has an internal Diversity & Inclusion Committee and boasts a partnership with the LaGrant Foundation, a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organization whose mission is to increase the number of ethnic minorities in the fields of advertising, marketing and public relations by providing scholarships, career development workshops, professional development, mentors and internships to African American, American Indian/Native American, Asian Pacific American and Hispanic/Latino undergraduate and graduate students.
