Hours for Good

Providing a culture for our employees that is in alignment with our values is critical for Cone. “Hours for Good” is Cone’s active commitment to strengthen our communities and enhance the capacity of nonprofit organizations to achieve their social missions. Through “Hours for Good,” Cone employees apply their expertise and lend resources to our communities in the following ways:

  • Hour Time – Each Cone employee is encouraged to spend up to four hours a month volunteering for a personal project on company time.
  • Hour Teams in Action – Cone regularly undertakes a company-wide community service project to meet a local need.
  • Hour Goods – On a regular basis, Cone collects office supplies and surplus products for donations to various nonprofits.

At Cone, account teams spend a lot of time developing environmentally responsible strategies and initiatives for their clients, but last April, Cone employees rolled up their sleeves and got their hands dirty to celebrate Earth Day. Under the instruction of Earthworks, “a community-based non-profit organization committed to planting a healthier and more sustainable Boston,” several staff fertilized and prepared soil at a Cooper Community Gardens site.
