Cause Branding

OVERVIEW

Cone was charged with developing a global platform to package and communicate all of P&G’s global cause initiatives. The program was designed to mprove the lives of children in need by harnessing and enhancing existing programs and assets and address the U.N. Millennium Development Goals.

PROGRAM ELEMENTS

In collaboration with P&G, Cone developed the Live, Learn and Thrive cause platform. The platform brought together under one umbrella all of P&G's global cause programs, including:

  • Safe Drinking Water Campaign
  • Crest Healthy Smiles 2010 (U.S.)
  • P&G Hope Schools (China)
  • Science Talents Club (Saudi Arabia)
  • Dash Missione Bonta (Italy)

RESULTS

Social Results

  • Gave $215MM through corporate contributions and the P&G Fund
  • Provided 700MM liters of safe drinking water to support the Children’s Safe Drinking Water Initiative
  • Taught 3.7MM first graders about oral hygiene with Crest Healthy Smiles, U.S.
  • Donated 4.8MM polio vaccinations to UNICEF through Charmin in Western Europe

Business Results

  • Participated in and made significant public cause commitments at the Clinton Global Initiative in 2006 and 2007
  • Honored with World Business Award, International Chamber of Commerce, UN Development Programme and International Business Leaders Forum, 2005
  • Received the Stockholm Industry Water Award, Stockholm International Water Institute, 2005
